Pyracantha
I have had this little Pyracantha (Firethorn) since 1987 when I bought it as garden centre stock, changed it from a more upright position to this almost semi cascade shape a few years ago, total height inc pot no more than 8 inches.Blossom just beginning to go off now should have taken photo last week really. This species is subject to scale insect attack sometimes. Please excuse the rustic stand,it is not a show stand,it is just to keep it level on the coping stone covered wall where it usually resides. Anyway Somerset is a rustic old place.
Very beautiful and you’ve worked a lovely magic on the branches. I just hope I’m 1/4 as good at this bonsai beginning of mine too….Thank you for the beauty of your trees and all of the information.. I love the post about the cat litter as a medium. I hope I can find some at my pet store here in northern Canada..
Take care and happy blogging to ya, from Laura ~
