Test Match Special ?

Childhood Days 3

This painting  is entitled ‘Not Out’ or possibly reading between the lines ‘If you say it’s out I am going home and it’s my bat’

The Boys Notweb

It was inspired by the fact that when I was a wee lad next door there where two  brothers, one became a international rugby player,David Marques who played for Harlequins, Cambridge, England and The Lions, the other his brother Robin became county cricket captain.
Well they gave me a pair of old pads and as they were our local heroes I was determined to wear them regardless of the fact that they were well over six foot tall and I was only six years old .

I know some of you may have heard these tales before but I just want to get down a record of as many of my works as I can.
While I can still remember the stories myself.

As a card Not Out sold many thousands .Original is still in the artist’s collection.
